About this blog:
I would always sink a bit when my family would say "I'm so impressed by what you're doing. Gee, I can't even begin to understand what you do!" Science shouldn't be for the elite. We are all born scientists, and I aim to make science accessible to everyone curious enough to find themselves here.
Though biology is my passion, I don't shy away from other subjects. Check out News Flask for stories across the science board!

When I'm not in front of a computer screen, I'm probably gallivanting around Madison, WI in pursuit of the tastiest pint of beer and most delicious local eats. I enjoy working with children, exploring science and social justice. My music consumption is unreasonably high, and I will always have a soft spot for Ingrid Michaelson. You can find me on Twitter by clicking the link on my front page.
